Design

At Consilio, we believe that every garden design should be unique and tailored to the needs of the client. That’s why we work closely with you throughout the design process, ensuring that every aspect of the design meets your requirements and reflects your personal style. Our goal is to create a garden that is not only beautiful, but also functional and sustainable, providing you with a space that you can enjoy for years to come.

Our design process is made up of several stages and allows us to discover your needs and wishes for your outdoor space, and to assess the current conditions of your garden. We will visit with you for an initial consultation during which we establish your individual requirements for the design, how you would like to interact with your garden, and help to turn your ideas into something more solid. At this stage we will discuss with you what your budget is and how it will affect the design options available to you.

Site Surveys

After your initial consultation we will provide you with a comprehensive site survey detailing your surrounding conditions and constraints, along with soil samples, and how the sun and shade path interact with your garden throughout the year. This part of the process ensures our designs will be fully suitable and functional based on the realities of the site.

Planting & Materials Strategy

Working closely with your client brief, we will establish a planting and materials strategy with you. These strategies provide various ideas and possibilities for colour and materials that will inform the overall design of your garden.

2D CAD Layout

We will then draw up a scaled 2D CAD layout of the initial design along with a detailed planting plan. And finally, we will create fully realistic and accurate 3D renders of your garden design. Our images are an essential tool that we use to ensure that every detail of the design is perfectly executed, from the placement of plants to the positioning of garden furniture. We can also create images in various lighting conditions to highlight any lighting strategies for the garden that are included in the design. All so that you will be able to see exactly what to expect and be confident that you have chosen the right design for you.
